CMPD License Plate Recognition System

The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department (CMPD) is soliciting proposals to replace its current License Plate Recognition (LPR) system with a next-generation solution. The new system will include LPR cameras, supporting software, installation, mobile broadband, cloud storage, device management, centralized management tools, and integration with internal and third-party law enforcement databases. The system must provide robust real-time alerting, vehicle analytics, privacy compliance, and full agency data control. The awarded vendor must hold a valid license from the NC Alarm Systems Licensing Board and fully comply with NC General Statute § 20-183.31.
