Roadway Weather Information System (RWIS)

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT), in partnership with the Department of General Services, is seeking proposals for the operation, maintenance, replacement, and expansion of a statewide Roadway Weather Information System (RWIS). The system will collect and deliver real-time weather, surface condition, and traffic data via a managed web interface and data feeds to PennDOT, the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission, and FHWA. The contract includes a 36-month term with a 24-month renewal option, and has Small Diverse Business (SDB) and Veteran Business Enterprise (VBE) participation goals.
