Summary

The University of Minnesota is issuing an RFP for the Data Center Network Segment of its Next Generation Network (NGN) project. The scope includes acquisition of data center network switches (large spine, small spine, border leaf, and leaf), associated software licensing, and support services. The upgraded architecture will leverage VXLAN and BGP/EVPN technologies and support multiple fabrics: the main multi-site network, a Services Network, and a Science Network. This is one of three NGN segments, alongside Core/GigaPOP/Remote Sites and WiFi Network procurements.
