The University of Minnesota is soliciting proposals for the WiFi Network Segment of its Next Generation Network (NGN) project. The scope covers a full refresh of the university’s Wi-Fi system, including hardware, authentication, and management systems. The solution must provide secure role-based access, support BYOD and IoT, scale across a state-wide multi-campus system, and address varied RF environments from classrooms to outdoor and mesh deployments. The system must support tunneling user traffic to defined wired network points. This RFP complements the Data Center and Core/GigaPOP NGN segments.
